As part of the start-up BW Summit, proven fintech experts met on September 30th. The economic event, which was initiated by the Hungarian Consulate in Stuttgart, was created in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, Labor and Tourism and the management consultancy JMarek-Consult. The event served the professional exchange among Fintechs and opened up new approaches for possible synergies for the participating companies, and thus also promoted the dialogue between the two countries

The conference was opened by Jürgen Marek, JMarek-Consult. In his introductory speech, he emphasized the fundamental importance of international exchange and cooperation for companies in order to enable innovations and framework conditions for synergies between companies. After the official welcome by the Hungarian Consul General András Izsák in Stuttgart, Ms. Gisa Siegmund from BW-International and Péter Faykiss, Director for Fintech and Digitization at the Hungarian National Bank Hungary, gave a first insight and overview of the activities in the state as speakers BW as well as in Hungary. Dominik Schütz, head of Stuttgart Financial and Fintogeher, explained the activities and measures set by the accelerator program for Fintechs in the financial center of Stuttgart.

The focus of the panel discussions (insurance, investment and blockchain) were opportunities and possibilities that Fintechs have both at national and international level in order to be able to grow internationally as a fintech. This aspect as well as current trends were highlighted in the individual panels and were also a topic in the speeches of the participating keynote speakers. dr Laura Stiller, from IBM, addressed the effects and possibilities of international cooperation that ecosystems offer with the help of platforms such as those of IBM.
